Ten things to do with the ITV Digital monkey...

...now that ITV Digital has gone bankrupt

13 March 2002

1) Spray it gold, hand it to Halle Berry, and stand back.

2) Make it the centrepiece of a challenging new art exhibition examining Western notions of self-identity and change.

3) Make it a roving UN ambassador.

4) Tie one of its frayed edges to a nail, kick it about, and watch it unravel.

5) Test lipstick on it. Concentrate on its eyes.

6) Make it run the London marathon in a monkey suit.

7) Send it to the Arab League of Nations, with a note pinned to it saying "oh, come on chaps."

8) Give it it's own show on Bid Up TV.

9) Get it to replace Barbara Ellen in the Observer.

10) Put it in a drawer.

 ABOUT THE FRIDAY THING
Bad words ahead The Friday Thing is a weekly email comment sheet. Casting a cynical eye over the week's events, it is rarely fair and never balanced.

A selection of articles from each week's issue appear online, but to enjoy the full Thing, delivered by email every Friday - as well as access to almost five years of back issues - you'll need to subscribe. It's absolutely free.
